Prayers for Andrew Bone Marrow Grafting
UPDATE FROM JOE: Andrew's stem cells from the bone marrow transplant on May 16th are beginning to graft however, he has been very ill and now has pneumonia. More details can be found in Joe's blog HERE.
Prayers for Connor's Bone Marrow Grafting
The last couple of days have been especially emotionally difficult for
us. All the effects of chemo have really started to take a toll on
Connor's body and I think he is just physically worn down. His hair
started falling out in clumps and we had to shave his head, his
platelets were extremely low so he had some minor bruising and red dots
all over his body (petechiae) and mucositis. The mucositis, big red and
purple swollen bumps on both sides of his cheeks) is causing him pain
and we are really hoping that it won't affect his appetite (he is not
eating nearly enough). Connor has endured it all well up until
Wednesday night when he just couldn't take it anymore. More details can be found in his mother Steph's blog HERE.

Kim has a PET scan tomorrow (Fri, 6/1/ - still no results yet) to see if the cancer has stayed at bay. Please pray that her cancer continues to stay in remission and that God grants us the faith regardless of the outcome. -Peter

Prayers for Michael's (father of two young children) mysterious health issue
I have been experiencing nerve pain/neuropathy all
over my body well over half a year. I've had to take time off of work
because of this. I'm currently doing better overall than I was several
months ago. My mental, physical and spiritual states have all
improved. Nevertheless, I'm having okay days and days that
are worse in terms of pain and mental state. My pain has not subsided
to where I was hoping it would be at this point in time. I still
struggle mentally with depression, guilt and disappointment in myself. I
also struggle spiritually with the questions of why is this happening
to me, what is God trying to teach me, and
what does God want me and my family to be doing in the future (e.g.,
the next few months). I'm
scheduled to try going back to work soon. I'm not sure how well I'll
be able to do. Please pray for possible further healing physically,
mentally and spiritually as well as for peace, wisdom and guidance
regarding my career and the future of our family. -Michael B.

I am writing this to you to ask all the faithful you have touched for their
prayers that the marriage of Dale and Sandy survive a most difficult time. Our
marriage was blessed by God Novemeber 30, 1968.
Our marriage like many has had its ups and downs but the recent years of
separation have taken their toll and we are on the very brink of divorce
despite the fact that the we are one before the eyes of God and we still love
each other. Please pray to our Lord
Jesus that our marriage survives this pending doom and that God grants both of
us and our family peace and comfort during this most difficult time. -Sandy

I
am married and have been for almost 28 years. We have 3 children and
brought them up in the teaching and love of God. I homeschooled all 3
of them (the older 2 are done) and I'm homeschooling my youngest who is
13 and has cerebral palsy. I have been a Christian since the age of 18
and thought if I would do A then God would do B. I'm learning the hard
way that this is not so. God is teaching me much through this current
trial
we are going through but I would so appreciate people praying to Him
for the life of my daughter Kristy. She is 23 years old and we found
out this last year that she is addicted to alcohol and drugs. We have
had to do the hardest thing in our life and ask her to leave our home
(for many reasons). She has told us that she no longer believes in God
because He was not there for her when she needed him the most. This is
breaking our hearts and we fear for her life. She doesn't listen to
anything or anyone so prayer is what we have left. -Lorie C

KIM NEVER EXPERIENCED ANY FEVER OR INFECTIONS DESPITE BEING NEUTROPENIC SIX TIMES THROUGHOUT HER TREATMENT.
-Please pray that God would be glorified by Jesus shining through us, as we journey into the unknown.
WE BELIEVE GOD HAS GLORIFIED HIMSELF BY SHINING THE LIGHT OF JESUS IN OUR DARKEST TRIAL.

This morning while I was driving the boys to a friend's house I was at a
stoplight when my thoughts began to run wild and tears began to well
in my eyes. When I looked in the rearview mirror Caleb was staring
right back at me from the 3rd row seat of our minivan with these really
big, concerned eyes. I quickly started a conversation on Star Wars
legos (which is the ultimate purpose of life for my two boys) to smooth
it over but I know Caleb is absorbing everything in his sensitive
little heart. Please pray that I would be strong for him. I am not as
strong as these emails may appear.

-THE VERY NEXT DAY ON MARCH 9TH, ANDREW'S CHROMOSOMAL DEFECT DISAPPEARS. DOCTORS ARE MYSTIFIED.
-11 DAYS LATER ON MARCH 20TH, ANDREW FINDS A BONE MARROW MATCH.
- BOTH BOYS RECEIVED THEIR BONE MARROW TRANSPLANTS WITHIN 24 HOURS OF EACH OTHER ON THE SAME FLOOR OF CHILDREN'S MEMORIAL HOSPITAL AND CELEBRATED THEIR NEW BIRTHDAYS ON MAY 16TH & MAY 17TH.
